Hello Curlfriend!

I'm Ehrin welcome and thanks for taking the time to look around. I was born and raised here in the PNW, specifically Spanaway/Tacoma. I attended Clover Park Technical College for all of my training and I'm now teaching the nails and skin portion of the Cosmetology program.

I work as an independent stylist at Azarra Salon. It's dog friendly and you are welcome to bring your well behaved fur baby with you to your appointment.

My mission is to keep it simple. For myself, for you, in the salon, at school and at home. Simple. This is not always easy but it is a better way in the long run.

Through this blog I do my best to educate you about what is real and what is not. This helps us to have a better working relationship. I highly encourage you to understand how your integumentary system works. This will allow you to have realistic expectations based on the choices that you make for yourself.

My Scheduling System

All scheduling is done online and if you need to contact me email is best.

ms.ehrin@icloud.com

Please read the service descriptions thoroughly and if this is your first time don't over think it you probably just need/want a haircut. Choose a curly cut and wag style to be safe, especially if you are unfamiliar with the jargon.

I do offer consultations. They are paid services and include products to take home.

Appointments can be made up to one year in advance and as little as one day in advance. You will receive a confirmation text and email three days before your appointment, unless your schedule less than three days away. You will receive an email reminder two days before your appointment and a text reminder one day before your appointment.

All of my availability is always shown. I'm a planner girl so I keep a set schedule of Friday, Saturday and Sunday. When I am not teaching l add Thursdays back to the schedule. I do keep a waitlist but not for days I do not work.

You should know

  • I send out a monthly newsletter so please be sure to check your junk mail. This email newsletter will contain important information and updates about what is happening with me, links to new blog posts and any changes that may affect you.
  • Products can be ordered online and shipped directly to you. I truly appreciate you supporting my business by purchasing your regime products from me.
  • I enjoy working with young people as young as eleven years of age. This is about the age they begin to think they know more than their parents. I am able to help bridge the communication gap, most of the time. Before that they don't care and it really is (in my opinion) a waste of money. The littles care about recess. That's it. I know because I asked them. A 7 year old's priority list looks much different than what you probably think and they do in fact know what is important to them. Hair IS NOT it on average.

A healthy working relationship

As your stylist I will ask lots of questions so that I can get a better gauge of your life and personality. We will talk about implementing the habits necessary to achieve your desired end results. I think about the long term, I'm excited to see who you are becoming, and that I get to be along for the ride.

My job is to bring your vision to life. So you must first have a vision, even if just a little one. I DO NOT just do what I think is best. This is YOUR journey but we work together along the way. That means you need to do your part. This includes being prepared with pictures and or words to explain to me what it is you want to have happen. I CANNOT see what you see in your mind or heart but I can listen.

Together we will work to shift the way you think about things, that is what's difficult. The hair is actually very easy. Curly hair is NOT in fact more work. It requires more patience. Which if you are impatient WILL feel like work.

I'm looking forward to working with you.

Ehrin
