Introducing: Light Elegance Nail Products
I am honestly so proud to add this brand's products to The CurlSpa. Continued education opportunities are so important to me and this company makes it easy to nerd out. Not just over their products either but over the science behind the products. They make the information so accessible.
A bit of history
Light Elegance was founded in 1999 just down the road in Redmond, OR as a response to an awareness of growing HEMA monomer allergies. Today Light Elegance maintains it's commitment to being HEMA monomer free and it's meticulous approach to product development. They follow strict EU guidelines which means they are also TPO free.
I was introduced to Light Elegance via YouTube > The Nail Hub. I was looking for education on E-files and natural nails. I was really excited about the information Liz was offering on her channel, she was talking with a chemist (Jim)...regularly, that was very different than most nail tech channels.
The Chemist Corner is one of my go to playlists on the Light Elegance channel to use in my Cosmetology classroom. Jim does a great job of explaining to my students why the brand of light and brand of polish they choose matter, HEMA allergies, the importance of proper curing and so much more.
The rabbit hole was open and I it's willing victim.
Light elegance offers a substantial YouTube Library with information that is
actually useful, a salon locator to help new clients find The CurlSpa and they offer a complete certificate program on how to use all their products and enhance my cosmetology nail skills.
In WA State my Cosmetology License allows me to practice natural nail manicures and pedicures. Here's a link to the law/definitions. However I am not allowed to provide any type of nail extension or enhancements. Think things like tips, Hybrid Gel or Acrylic. Gel polish, builder gel polish and nail art design are all within my scope though and light elegance allows me to pick and choose my education so that I stay well within my scope without wasting my money.
LE offers an array of products to help me thoroughly care for your natural nail concerns. They have provided all the education I need so I don't "need" to go back to nail school just to understand the science of the products. What makes it even better is IF I do decide that I enjoy nails enough to get my manicuring license I will go in with experience and feeling confident that I can make a return on my educational investment.
I feel confident recommending this product line to my cosmo students who want to pursue nail education because I know they will be able to find products as well as education to maximize the use of their cosmetology license without spending another $8K on nail school.
