The CurlSpa utilizes Olaplex products to maintain the strength and integrity of your hair. Olaplex is a bond rebuilding system that was originally used to rebond broken disulfide bonds in the hair after coloring. Disulfide bonds are the "big" bonds in the hair. The more disulfide bonds, the curlier the hair tends to be. This makes sense if you think about how strong hair has to be to shrink up to 80% against gravity.
The Olaplex curl rebonding treatment
penetrates into the cortex of you hair shaft to repair the disulfide bonds that create and support your curl formation. Broken or damaged disulfide bonds can lead to lip curls. Disulfide bonds can be broken with normal wear and tear, chemical treatments and heat damage.
Not all damage is repairable. So don't think that Olaplex can fix anything. Also Olaplex cannot replace a haircut. Once it's time for those ends to go, it's just time.
The Olaplex clarifying treatment
cleans the hair off and out. We actually clarify and chelate your hair during the process byremoving product buildup on the outside of the hair and removing mineral build up from inside the hair. Buildup on the outside or the inside can weigh the hair down and make curls less springy. It can also lead to dehydrated hair.
Olaplex Scalp Care Treatment (add on)
A healthy scalp will grow healthy hair. Keeping the skin on your head healthy and balanced is key to your hair care goals. This treatment can be added to any service that comes with a wash but it is NOT a stand alone service.
