This summer Kinky University is excited to offer licensed professionals and enrolled cosmetology students hands on curly hair education workshops. These trainings will cover the basics of natural texture styling, cutting and coloring. The purpose of these individual or small group trainings is to normalize basic curly hair care in the PNW's professional hair care industry..
- These are in person trainings held at the studio.
- These trainings are for licensed stylists and students currently enrolled in an accredited cosmetology program.
- You may share your experience and cost with up to 3 other people for a total of 4 participants
- 1 curly mannequin is provided (additional may be purchased)
- You may provide a live model
- Hair color is included up to 50g (with hair color sessions only)
- Each additional 50g is an additional $15
In addition to the hands on workshops we are also providing virtual business and finance workshops. As we all know talent and a license alone do not make you a professional. Being a professional takes refinement. In these workshops learn how to set realistic financial goals, create positive habits, get organized, eliminate debt, find your target market and create a service menu that draws them in.
Workshops are available for scheduling June 16th - September 17, 2024
Mondays and Tuesday between 9:00 am to 4:00pm
We do offer a free consultation which is held virtually. Online scheduling is not available for this yet, but you may email kinky.university@icloud.com to schedule your free consultation.
Your instructor will be Ms. Ehrin. She is a licensed cosmetologist, esthetician and instructor who currently teaches the nails and skin portion of the cosmetology program at Clover Park. In addition to her beauty industry education she is also a licensed financial professional. She understands the ebbs and flows of the industry as well as the nature of the relationship between creative beauty pros and money. She does her best to create a safe space to talk about money honestly and begin to work through money trauma by establishing small sustainable changes.
